Terms of use and membership
The rules for using this website and the Recreation Outreach Center. Plain language, no surprises.
Effective September 8, 2026. Draft for review by church leadership and counsel before publishing.
Who we are
The Recreation Outreach Center ("the ROC") is a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, 150 East High Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40507. These terms cover this website and your use of the ROC facility. By visiting the building or using the site, you agree to them.
Membership and the Ministries Fund
Membership is a contribution to the ROC Ministries Fund, which Calvary established for one purpose: keeping the ROC open to the community. It is not a purchase of services. Current contribution levels are $15 per month or $150 per year.
No refunds
Contributions to the ROC Ministries Fund are not refundable, in whole or in part, for any reason, including unused time, closures for weather or church events, relocation, injury, or a revoked membership. If you stop auto-renew, your Andrew Card stays active through the period you have already paid. Refunds are not available through this website, at the welcome desk, or through Calvary Baptist Church.
Auto-renew and cancellation
Monthly memberships renew automatically each month and annual memberships each year, using the payment method on file. You can turn auto-renew off at any time from the member portal or at the welcome desk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We do not prorate.
Your Andrew Card
- Each person 14 and older needs their own card. A parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18.
- Cards are not transferable. Lending your card to someone else may end your membership without refund.
- Check in and out at the welcome desk every visit, with your card or your phone.
- A lost card costs $5 to replace. If you forget it, a $1 contribution gets you in that day.
- A valid government photo ID is required to obtain or renew a card.
Using the facility
- Children under 14 must be with a parent or guardian on the first floor, or in an organized children's activity. The second floor is for ages 14 and up.
- Indoor court shoes on the gym floor. No food or drink other than water in the gym or fitness center.
- Bring your own lock. Nothing may be stored overnight; we remove locks left on lockers and put the contents in lost and found.
- Staff and volunteers may ask anyone to leave for unsafe, abusive, or disruptive behavior. Repeated or serious conduct may end a membership without refund.
- Photography of other members without their consent is not allowed.
Hours and closures
Hours are posted on this site and at the door. The ROC may close for church activities, holidays, weather, or maintenance, sometimes without notice. Closures do not extend memberships or create a right to a refund.
Assumption of risk
Exercise and recreational sports carry a risk of injury. You use the ROC at your own risk and are responsible for knowing your own limits. Calvary Baptist Church, its staff and its volunteers are not liable for injury, illness, or loss or theft of personal property except where Kentucky law does not allow that limitation. Members and guests sign a waiver as part of registration.
Reserving space
Calvary members may reserve the multi-purpose room for birthday parties at no charge during open hours. Church and ministry groups may request other space using the Request for Use form. Reservations are subject to availability and to the church calendar.
This website
Content on this site is for information. Hours, class times and league dates can change; the welcome desk has the current schedule. Do not use the site to send abusive messages, to scrape member data, or to attempt access to accounts that are not yours. The member portal and check-in software are provided by Ignyte Software under a separate agreement with Calvary Baptist Church.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do, and continued use of the ROC after that date means you accept the new terms. Kentucky law governs these terms.
